Hello…
I’m Jade - interior designer, colour lover and the person behind An Interior Story
My own story actually began in fashion. Fresh out of university, I joined the menswear buying team where I spent a lot of time surrounded by fabric swathes, colour palettes and an assortment of buttons. It was here that I learned how to build seasonal collections, learning how colour, texture, proportions and how the smallest details can completely change the way something feels.
I didn’t know then but I was training my eye for interiors…
After my daughter was born, I decided it was time to turn my love of interiors into something more. I retrained as an interior designer and then joined a luxury paint brand as a colour consultant, creating bespoke colour schemes for the most beautiful Notting Hill houses.
I believe the loveliest homes aren’t the ones that follow every trend. They’re the ones that tell you something about the people who live there.
A treasured piece found in a crooked antique shop on a weekend trip. A colour that brings you joy. A chair passed down from a loved one. The little details that when when woven in with something new, make the space feel like you.
Today, I design everything from single rooms, to full house renovations, helping my clients create homes that feel layered, personal and curated rather than overly designed.
My style mixes timeless English foundations, with the occasional unexpected detail.
Alongside my design work, I teach and mentor at ‘The Interior Designers Hub, sharing what I’ve learnt with other designers and helping them find their confidence to find their style and bring their own light into the industry.
So…
If you would like a little help telling your home’s story, I’d love to hear from you
