Hello, I’m Jade, Interior designer and the owner of ‘An Interior Story.’

My style is best described as classic with a modern twist - think timeless foundations with a little playful edge. My working style is informal, warm, collaborative and always rooted in making people feel at ease.

I actually began my career in fashion buying. Fresh out of university, I joined a menswear jersey team and spent endless hours matching tiny fabric swatches to our trend colour palettes for the coming season. At the time, I didn’t realise I was quietly training my eye to notice tiny nuances - undertones, balance, depth and all the subtle tweaks needed to get a shade just right.

That early mix of colour work, fabrics and understanding how to build a cohesive collection became the foundation I was laying for my future in Interiors.

In 2019, after my daughter was born, I made the leap and retrained as an Interior designer. Once qualified I landed my first project and also began working part time at Little Greene, the high end paint brand, creating bespoke colour schemes for the most beautiful homes in Notting Hill.

Today, I design full projects, from consultations to complete renovations and project coordination, weaving together a world of colour, texture and personality to create homes that feel timeless, interesting and soulful.

Alongside my design work I also teach and mentor at The Interior Designers Hub, (the very place I trained!) I write trainings for fellow designers to keep their skills - and mine - fresh, relevant and evolving. I also mentor new designers as they step into the industry, helping them find their confidence, their style and that spark that makes their designs unique.
